The Hewitt Best Employer Results are in . . .

. . . and we are reasonably pleased that we actually did all right and continue to make progress, though unfortunately we didn’t pick up a prize along the way!

As you can see from the graph below, 60% of our staff remain engaged, and a further 19% of staff remain nearly engaged (or reasonably satisfied with their employment at Smartsalary).  So the Smartsalary team is doing well,  yet there’s certainly plenty of potential for next year’s survey!

When we look at the details behind the survey, we see some high percentages of people who agree and strongly agree on a number of questions.  In fact, we maintained or improved our score in 50 of 54 questions, compared to the prevoius year.

One of the key reasons why we are so focussed on staff engagement is because higher engagement levels have been shown to underpin higher levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty, which naturally drive stronger company performance.

So we’ll definitely stay the course with the Hewitt Best Employer survey and endeavour to improve our engagement levels for the sake of our staff, and the sake of

you, our valued customers!

Your team has failed dismally on my transfer from Remserv to Smartsalary. When I found out that you had a contract with Qld Goverment I was so exciting as I used to be with you when I was with Defence but had to change to Remserv with employed with Qld Health. Unfortunately your team cannot get their act together and after trying to transfer for the last five weeks have just been informed at 4:30pm on a Friday afternoon that they failed to get me to complete a form (a form I specifically asked about but was informed by three different people at smartsalary that I didn’t need to sign it).

I cannot believe that I have told people how good you are but will be now informing people about my problems with transferring and how your staff are incapable of giving consistent correct information.

      Kym,

Thank you for the comment. We really appreciate it. We’ve looked into your account and see that you’ve had a dozen interactions with us and everything appeared to be progressing well, but for one issue . . .

As you may know, Smartsalary has been contracted to provide services to all of Queensland Government, except for the Queensland Health. And because you were previously with Queensland Health, and moving across to Community Services, we took your application as “new” rather than a “transition.” However, as you now know, we’ve since been advised that even though you were previously packaging for an employer that we couldn’t service, we must treat your package as a “transition.” As such, as with any transition, this must happen during allotted one-month transition window. Unfortunately, that window has expired in 31 August and so we’ve missed that opportunity.

Now we appreciate that you are upset with us for our oversight. However, we can assure you that our service is every bit as good as what you’d previously experienced with the Department of Defence. And if you would be so kind as to forgive us for our oversight, we’d would love to be able to transition your package across at the next transition window, which promises to be at the end of the current FBT Year, only a few more months away.

Once again, sincere apologies for our oversight. We too are quite upset about not having had the opportunity at this time to service one of our past valued clients.

Thanks again for your candid and constructive feedback.

      Best wishes,
      Deven
